At makeITcrete.com Vrahassi is on our doorstep... or more accurately - it may be close, but still high in the hills above us - its fantastic location up switchback roads, yet close to both the highway and the north coast of Crete means that it lacks any feeling of isolation. A charming village, with a long and noble history, many tourists or residents make their way up here around the year. Like any villages in Crete its kafenio are traditional and welcoming to those wishing to learn about the history of this wonderful part of East Crete. Vrahassi is particularly close to Milatos and Sissi on the coast. Vrahassi, for those of you unfamiliar with its location can be found by exiting the main road just east of Malia (before reaching the Selinari monastery) and following the signs for approx 5km. Its fiercely independent streak mirrors that of nearby Sissi and Milatos and can be seen by the many hand painted declarations of 'Demos Vrahassi' around the area.
