Neapoli is a large town between Malia and Agios Nikolaos in the prefecture of Lassithi on our favourite Greek island, Crete. It is often visited by tourists as a starting point for drives up to the Lassithi plateau or just for a relaxing day exploring the town's back streets and numerous shops. To residents of the island it is an important administrative and economic centre. Adjacent to the national road, approx 40 minutes from Nikos Kazantzakis airport and 10 minutes from Ag Nik. Also accessible via many minor roads from the Lasithi plateau, Elounda and other villages close by. These include Latsida, Houmeriakos and Limnes. |
